Job Description: 
AECOM Environment is seeking Scientists/Engineers who will support environmental site assessment and remediation projects at industrial and up/midstream oil and gas sites.  Duties will include conducting Phase 1 and 2 environmental due diligence assessments; air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling; geologic logging and interpretation of soil bores; and oversight of contractors including drilling, excavation and laboratory.   Development of work plans, data interpretation/presentation, and report writing are also required.

The position may require up to 50% travel at times, which may be to remote locations in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Louisiana.  Extended travel assignments of usually not more than two weeks may also be required.  
The selected candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Field assignments may involve travel to remote locations where you will be responsible for making safety and logistics decisions with minimal direction by the Project Manager.  The selected candidate will be required to effectively interact with clients, landowners, site operations personnel, and subcontractors while in the field.

Basic Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related field

• 1 to 4 years of relevant technical experience in the following areas:

o    Phase 1 and 2 environmental due diligence

o    Contaminated site investigation and remediation methods

o    Soil and groundwater sampling including drilling oversight, logging of soils and field oversight of subcontractors

o    Data analysis and report writing

o    Knowledge of state remediation programs in the Gulf Coast

o    Up/midstream oil and gas and industrial sites

• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certificate is preferred.
