Job Description:  Overall Responsibility
Interface with project personnel in order to ensure the accurate and timely submittal of monthly requisitions and cost reports in accordance with the contract as well as corporate policy and procedures.

Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Review various reports created by our construction software package to ensure the accurate transfer of data to our parent company's Oracle software package.
2. Preparation of some minor time and material construction billings.
3. Review Projects with regard to the terms of the contract.  Monitor and analyze project profitability / risk of projects with savings components and / or guaranteed maximum prices.
4. Review and analyze past cost trends as well as project future costs.  Incorporate this information along with current requisition data into the monthly WIP schedule which is the tool used for monitoring project costs and analyzing profitability / risk.
5. Review monthly bank, revolving fund, and accounts receivable reconciliations.  Must have a strong understanding of cash balances for Projects at all times.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of company and department policies and procedures.
2. Understanding of various types of construction contracts such as Construction Management as Agent, Owner's Representative, Guaranteed Maximum Price, Lump Sum, etc.
3. Analyze situations and data to resolve existing or potential problems.
4. Plan and monitor the activities of one or more areas.
5. Training on Employer's computerized system is required as well as proficiency in PC based applications such as Micrsoft Word and Excel.
6. Good management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met.
7. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.  Must have strong interpersonal and influencing skills needed to communicate with the variety of participants involved with a construction project.
8   Quickly provide various types of  analysis so that management is able to make informed decisions.

Work Experience Requirements
Some business related experience and accounting knowledge is required.  

Education Requirements
Accounting / Finance degree or sufficient accounting experience to ensure knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals is required.
