The SR. Planner/Public Participation (7 + years of public participation) will be responsible for the oversight and management of complex planning and public outreach projects as well as business development pursuits. Public participation responsibilities will include creating, leading, and implementing comprehensive public involvement programs for multi-disciplinary projects that span urban planning and design, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental planning. This position is expected to lead projects, manage subconsultant and AECOM staff resources, and collaborate with staff and clients to deliver exceptional products on time and within budget. It demands executing a range of activities including logistics, meeting coordination, content development, staff management, and outreach strategy development, in addition to other business development and project management duties. The candidate must be creative, well organized, enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and be an excellent project manager and outreach facilitator. The position will be filled within one of our Southern California offices; candidates able to work out of our San Diego or Los Angeles offices are preferred. Professional-level fluency in Spanish highly desirable, but not required. Requirements and Responsibilities: 7+ more years of public participation experience Lead and manage planning and public outreach projects for a variety of clients. Direct the strategy and preparation of materials and graphics in support of planning and outreach projects. Develop and mentor staff in the southern California Economics + Planning team. Develop planning and public outreach strategies for clients and business development pursuits, including web-based solutions.
