Dams and Hydropower - Senior Project Manager
AECOM has an excellent career opportunity in our Denver Office for a Senior Project Manager in our Dams and Hydropower Group. This is a senior level position with the ideal candidate having 15+ years of Dams and Hydraulic Structures design experience with either a civil, hydraulic, geotechnical, or structural background.
The dams and hydraulic structures senior project manager will develop new projects, manage clients, manage project scope, schedule, and budget as well as lead and supervise project teams in the execution of:
- Experience with analysis and design for new dams, dam rehabilitations, and dam appurtenances
- Development of final design contract documents (plans and specifications) and reports
- Construction phase services for dam-related work
- Related water resource planning
- Feasibility studies, permitting, and regulatory review process
Duties also include:
- Development and management of work plans - scope, schedule, and budget
- Building successful project teams; including mentoring, training, and supervision of team members
- Coordination with other offices and business lines on projects and pursuits
- Client Interaction, proposal development and business development
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in water resources, dam design, and design of associated hydraulic structures
- Proven leader and project manager in dam design and rehabilitation
- Dam related hydraulic, structural, or geotechnical experience Risk analysis experience with dams a plus
- Dam inspection experience a plus
- Hydropower experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
- Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities Experience mentoring and supervising other design professionals
- B.S. degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering (advanced degrees preferred)
- Professional Engineer Registration in Colorado
