We are growing our team - hiring a Senior Project Manager with a background in water and/or wastewater. The successful candidate will be a Senior Project Manager with a diverse background and extensive technical, project management, and client relations experience. In addition, with support from senior business line leaders, the successful candidate will be capable of participating in business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects and preparing/presenting proposals. Proficiency will depend on strong communication skills, previous experience leading interdisciplinary teams on large, complex municipal water/wastewater projects and an interest in mentoring team members. Key Responsibilities: • With support from senior management, provide strong and confident leadership in: - Client relationship development and management - Project pursuit management - Financial management of projects and programs - Project delivery - Strategic and operational plans - Building and developing teams to win and deliver • Manage water and wastewater projects of a varied size and complexity for both municipal and/or private clients (predominantly municipal clients) • Lead single and multi-disciplined projects. Prepare and take responsibility for project engineering solutions. • Visible internal and external leadership to support project delivery and business development needs • Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team. Requirements • Professional Engineers license in Texas. • 15+ yrs. experience in municipal, civil engineering consulting, or engineering management companies • Previous and on-going successful client relationships with major municipal clients in Houston and Dallas/Ft Worth • Proven track record of successful project management of large, multi-disciplinary water/wastewater treatment plant projects in the municipal sector • Strong technical capabilities in water/wastewater planning and design • Previous leadership/mentoring experience • Desire to work in a team environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pumping • Working Knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, Instrumentation and control What We Offer AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people.
