We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in water/wastewater and specifically stormwater related projects. This person will be a client focused seller/doer who will concentrate on Water, Resources and stormwater related projects. This role will require strong coordination with the Water Resources Manager, other market sectors in Water Business Line (wastewater and water), and with other business lines working in the local marketplace (Transportation, Environment, etc). This role will require a comprehensive understanding of current and future market opportunities and challenges in the Southeast Region, particularly related to: Chesapeake Bay TMDL implementation, municipal stormwater management regulatory compliance, and integrated watershed management. This job scope will include: * Contracts management and subconsultant management including negotiating and executing sub agreements, work scope, work/purchase orders. * Completion of stormwater related reports and design and construction of related projects. * Development of work plans (scope, schedule, and budget) and supervision of other team members. * Coordination with other offices and business lines on projects and pursuits. * Provide strong and confident leadership * Client relationship development and management * Project pursuit management * Financial management of projects and programs * Project delivery in accordance with both client and AECOM expectations * Preparing strategic and operational plans to define future growth and direction of the team * Building and developing a solid and successful group of professionals. * Support the Chesapeake Bay Initiative which is focused on making AECOM the leader in providing TMDL compliance, stormwater management, integrated wastewater and stormwater planning, green infrastructure, and stormwater financing services * Support the technical and financial execution of client assignments through to successful project completion. * Coach and mentor AECOM staff ensuring that client teams have access to staff and resources. * Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the other managers and business line leaders. * Assist in coordinating and integrating support functions: F&A, Project Delivery, QMS, Civic Engagement, HR, Legal This person will have: * At least 10 years of experience as a consulting engineer in the municipal water/wastewater industry. * Subconsultant management experience including negotiating and executing sub agreements, work scope, work/purchase orders etc. * Excellent municipal, state, and/or federal client relationships and references. * B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering. * Professional Engineers licenses Maryland, DC, Virginia (preferred) * Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
