Job Description:  Position: Senior Level Energy Training Manager / Project Manager

Location: Washington, DC
AECOM International Development is seeking Senior Energy Training Manager / Project Manager candidates for an upcoming proposal assisting the Office of Energy & Infrastructure within the Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment. The position will provide technical leadership related to energy through a variety of training-related and knowledge sharing activities. The USAID funded program will focus on a variety of training programs in the United States and abroad focusing on global climate change and clean energy.
The selected candidate will provide overall project leadership and vision, as well as ensure that all project objectives and deliverables are met in a timely and efficient manner. S/he will supervise the project team and serve as the key liaison with USAID and counterpart organizations. S/he will lead training workshops as well as short training programs, on-line courses, and targeted study tours in the United States and abroad. Additional activities include developing energy toolkits, communication and outreach materials, travel support for conferences, workshops, seminars, and international fora, and monitoring training results and impact.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years' experience as a subject matter expert in global climate change and/or clean energy
• Experience in developing and managing extensive training programs
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience working on energy projects, preferably with donor organizations
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills in English
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
