Job Description:

AECOM New York, New York is recruiting for Mid to Senior Level Hydrogeologist/Geologist or Environmental Scientist for project work in the New York area. A related technical degree (e.g., Environmental Engineer, Geologist, Geotechnical Engineer, Hydrogeologist, and Environmental Scientist), preferably including groundwater characterization study, and field environmental sampling experience is preferred.
Job responsibilities would include analysis of environmental data in the field and office settings, leading the development of site conceptual models and remedial strategies according to ITRC and ASTM documents, and leading technical report writing activities. All work would be performed along with a team of experience environmental professionals.
Selected applicants should have experience in most of the following:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel)
Experience working on large remedial projects for Oil and Gas clients at active and inactive facilities
Experience constructing complicated site conceptual models for environmental sites which include soil, aqueous, and non-aqueous contaminants.
Experience working with environmental data (groundwater chemistry, fluid levels, fluid properties, multiple aquifer systems), soil parameters (USCS Classification, grain size analysis, hydraulic soil properties, pore geometry)
Multiphase Fluid Modeling
Experience presenting to clients and regulators
Remediation Cost Modeling
Well Installation, Field Pilot Testing (LNAPL recovery systems (Skimming, Water Enhanced, Vacuum Enhanced), Pump Testing, Slug Testing,
Experience with LNAPL Transmissivity
Report writing (text, table, and figure generation)
Experience working with NAPL
Mapping software (GIS, Surfer, MVS)
Modeling software (MODFLOW, AQTESOLV, API LDRM)
