The US West Region Regional Building Engineering Leader will be responsible for growing the units in the Bay Area of Northern California including Sacramento region from a base in San Francisco. Our teams cover a wide range of engineering disciplines and specialties, including: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire Protection, Sustainable and Low Energy solutions. The successful candidate will be a strong technical professional and have had business development and operational responsibility for running teams and will become a member of the regional leadership team. Markets we are interested in developing include Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Industrial as well as Aviation and Government. Projects will generally be developed in the Region but expertise may also be utilized on projects in other Regions. Other duties may include but not limited to the following: Provide input on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters Drive growth and enhancement of the units in the region. Provide strong technical leadership for the region Analyze financial and personnel performance of operating units and develop and implement required improvements Identify, encourage, support and recruit high-performing team members Engage in effective business development activities with measurable objectives Implement and follow AECOM Quality Assurance Program procedures Positively represent AECOM in various public activities Skill Requirements: Strong technical, project management, and supervisory skills are a must. The successful candidate must have a strong record of business development success and client and team management skills. At least 15 experience, including technical leadership, project management, team leadership, business development, and strong interpersonal skills. A record of successfully leading complex projects and effective working relationships with clients is also required.
