AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer for the Civil Department in Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates are required to have a BS degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in highways and site development, 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, and a Professional Engineering license.
The role of Civil Engineer generally includes the following responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of design tasks independently
- Works together with others on design teams
- Follows corporate quality procedures
- Meets client quality, schedule, and budget expectations
- Assists Senior Civil Engineers in managing design tasks

Experience in multiple elements of civil engineering design with an emphasis in transportation and site development projects including, but not limited to the following:
- Highway design (alignments, geometry, cross section, guiderail, traffic control, etc.)
- Plan and construction documents preparation
- Site grading and drainage
- Hydrology and hydraulics
- Stormwater management
- Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control
- Utilities
- Permitting
- Right-of-way
- Pavement design
The following skillsets are desirable:
- Professional Engineering Registration within Pennsylvania and/or West Virginia
- Experience with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience in Microstation and InRoads
- Experience with projects in the oil/gas industry
