Job Description:  OBIEE ETL Developer



Position Responsibilities:




  • Work closely with team members and business analysts to implement a sound solution while adhering to functional requirements.

  • Data modeling, database scripting, developing ETL design, systems architecture, and design documentation.

  • Target database design, source-to-Target mappings, Mapping specifications. Develop mappings and workflows. Create and customize Data Load mappings and scripts in PL/SQL.

  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and tune ETL processes. Create and execute unit test plans based on written specifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:




  • 6+ years of experience with full life cycle data warehouse design and development, including logical and physical data modeling, data integration, mapping data elements from various data sources, loading DW objects (including dimensions, hierarchies, fact tables, and aggregates), building the Reporting Metadata layer, as well as building reports. (Must have recent development/integration experience with OBIEE and experience on ETL loads using PL/SQL custom scripts with Oracle EBS and OBIEE).

  • Demonstrates strong experience writing SQL and or PL/SQL. Ability to create reports using BI publisher

  • Experience with hands-on business requirements gathering, documenting the reporting and analysis specs, designing technical architecture, installing and configuring all components of an ETL tool, creating complex mappings, sessions, and workflows. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM adaptors is a plus.

  • Must have thorough understanding of SQL, Oracle, Java/J2EE

  • Strong Software Development Management skills must be demonstrated in prior experience. Must have experience implementing at least 2-3 projects involving data integration tools and concepts.

  • Thinks creatively and demonstrate the ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction, supervision, and management oversight. The incumbent should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work alone or in groups.
