Job Description:  Responsible for the administration and implementation of all phases of work related to the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEP) disciplines, including scheduling, shop drawings & submissions, construction & implementation,space turnover and contract closeout.

B.    Key Areas of Responsibility


1.    Scheduling of all MEP trade related activities, coordinated with the overall project schedule requirements thru the use of CPM, bar chart, short interval and micro schedules.

2.    Trade procurement, including the development of bid packages, bid analysis, leveling & scope review and the preparation of trade subcontracts.


3.     Review and approval of monthly requisitions.

4.    Assessment of subcontractor extra work orders.

5.    Organize and facilitate coordination of trade installation drawings.

6.    Monitor and track trade requests for information (RFI's).

7. Develop and track material, equipment and shop drawings by use or submittal schedules and material and equipment status reports.

8. Conduct contractor coordination meetings.

9. Create various project specific charts, check-lists and tools as required to monitor and track trade progress thru all project phases to ensure schedule objectives are met and all work is performed in full compliance with the project requirements



10.    Scheduling, organizing and sequencing of the work of the MEP trade field workforces through direct interaction with the various trade field supervisory personnel to include tracking and inspection of all MEP related installations .


11. Assisting the project executive in working with all departments including estimating, scheduling, procurement, labor relations, finance, accounting and other services as required.  

12.   Obtaining client's acceptance of the work, and sign-off for the completed project and the prompt closeout of the subcontracts.

C.    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1.    Working knowledge of scope of work covered by contracts.

2.    Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. Knowledge is also acquired through:

3.    Skill in management and administrative experience.

4.    Skill in written and oral communication.

5.    Proven leadership ability.

D.    Project Specific Experience, Tasks, and Responsibilities
Experience working on high end hotel and casino projects.      

E.    Work Experience Requirements
Broad general experience and education, rotation through and exposure to several departments.

F.   Education Requirements
A recognized degree in an engineering, architecture or construction management discipline, specialized courses in construction management or equivalent experience and training preferred.
