Job Description:  Performs a variety of tasks in support of engineering and project staff. Performs routine operations and maintenance (O&M) and field work associated with remediation systems, including but not limited to operations and maintenance of remediation equipment, scheduling and execution of routine remediation events (AFVR, injections, etc.), environmental sampling, and inspections at client sites. Other activities may include subcontractor oversight, assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. Frequent travel is expected with the ability to maintain strong communication with office staff during field work.

Ideal candidate would have previous exposure to:  


  • Equipment troubleshooting of motors, blowers/compressors, fans, pumps, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with electrical systems (motor starters, relays, fuses, switches, etc)
  • Minor repairs and troubleshooting of systems to maintain proper operation
  • Soil, groundwater, sediment sampling procedures including Chain of Custody, sample preparation and preservation, laboratory communication, and sample shipping procedures.
Qualifications:


  • HS diploma
  • BS in an environmental science field a plus
  • 0-2 years of consulting experience
  • OSHA 40 Hr Hazwoper
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel, including extended travel, is an absolute must
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
