AECOM Environment is seeking Staff Scientists to support our environmental due diligence and site assessment program, which currently manages large portfolios of property transactions associated with upstream and midstream oil and gas sites. Duties will include field inspections, report writing, site research, administrative tasks, and various types of sampling and data collection. The position requires approximately 50% travel, usually with another team member and often to remote locations in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Louisiana. Travel will usually be limited to two to three day assignments during the week. Extended travel assignments of generally not more than two weeks may also be required. The selected candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Field assignments will involve travel to remote locations where you will be responsible for making safety and logistics decisions with minimal direction by the Project Manager. The selected candidate will be required to effectively interact with clients, landowners, site operations personnel, and subcontractors while in the field. Basic Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field • 0 to 2 years of relevant technical experience in the following areas: o ASTM Phase 1 and Phase 2 due diligence projects including field assessments, sampling and report preparation o Upstream and midstream oil and gas and industrial sites • 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certificate is preferred.
