JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating client relationships and leads that result in natural gas infrastructure construction projects and professional services work. The primary area of focus will be the southwestern US. The BD lead will be involved in identifying, developing, and proposing new projects; negotiating partnerships and alliances; structuring and closing transactions; managing senior-level relationships internally and externally; and maintaining a sharp focus on the client during project implementation. As the business grows, this position may be required to supervise and mentor mid-level personnel as a team leader. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with high energy and motivation with an acute passion for developing sustainable energy solutions. Critical requirements include teamwork skills, knowledge of the natural gas industry, strong business development skills, and the ability to develop high quality and creative opportunities in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. Ability to Travel weekly. 10-20 years of relevant Gas market business development experience. • Superb project management abilities, both individually and as part of a team • Proven expertise in business development and strategy development/execution • Previous experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff • Strong interpersonal, organizational, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills • A general knowledge of the financial, technical and political aspects driving the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries • Self-directed personality with a commitment to excellence • Bachelors degree in engineering/science or management/business required • Previous experience working in high-performance organizations • Knowledge of the Utility Client Base in CA, AZ, NV and have a knowledge base of Private Development opportunities in the Gas Facilities and Power industry Sectors.
