Job Description:

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a Project Manager in Southern California. Position can be located in Los Angeles or Orange. This person will perform project management duties and will lead/supervise project teams in the planning, design, and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure facilities, to include pump stations, pipelines and treatment facilities. In addition, the successful candidate will perform planning, engineering and design work. They will be technically involved in the analysis and resolution of challenges that may include overseeing field investigation or inspections and detailed design work.

Duties:
Client focused seller/doer who will concentrate on Water, Wastewater and Utilities projects. Hydraulic and hydraulic analysis and design of distribution, conveyance and treatment systems. Contracts management. Sub consultant management including negotiating and executing sub agreements, work scope, work/purchase orders. Design and construction of major pipeline/sewer rehabilitation and replacement projects. Design reports and production of plans, specifications, and estimates for construction of conveyance, storage and treatment facilities. Development of work plans (scope, schedule, and budget) and supervision of other team members. Coordination with other offices and business lines on projects and pursuits.

Qualifications:

At least 10 years of experience as a consulting engineer in the municipal water/wastewater industry.
Sub consultant management experience including negotiating and executing sub agreements, work scope, work/purchase orders etc .
Excellent municipal, state, and/or federal client relationships and references.
B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Registration as a Civil Engineer in California.
Water/wastewater treatment plant design experience including development of conceptual/preliminary designs, detailed design document preparation, and engineering services during construction.
Pipeline, pump station and lift station design experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities.
Experience mentoring and supervising other engineering professionals.
