AECOM is hiring a Project Manager who specializes in transit planning projects. Extensive FTA NEPA, New Starts and planning management experience is mandatory. The candidate will likely work in the Central Region and reside in/near Minneapolis or Chicago. The individual will build on our extensive knowledge to plan, design, and manage world class transit systems and be willing to travel frequently.
Must be a certified planner (AICP) or professional engineer (PE) and will assist in project management, execution, and regional business development. Must have current relationships with multiple major transit agencies in the Upper Midwest and/or Gateway districts. FHWA NEPA and highway planning experience is a plus. This hire will be client focused, self-motivated, and be able to function effectively in a large organization.
As the successful candidate your role will involve: · Project management and task management of NEPA projects for Streetcar, Light Rail, High Speed Rail, and BRT projects. · Support AECOM’s marketing of transit planning services to clients in the central region with a focus on the Upper Midwest and Gateway districts. · Demonstrating mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual planning problems · Provide expert NEPA and planning and project development guidance in regard to FTA procedures, rules and regulations, · Develop project scope, schedule and budgets and oversee and/or support the successful execution of planning and project development projects. |
