Job Description:  The primary focus of this position is to track and manage all phases (as assigned) of the construction project to ensure that specific goals are met for timeliness, accuracy, quality, and price.   The Project Manager is the key liaison between the owners, the designers, the tradesmen, general contractors, or owners reps and consultants, depending upon the type of contract.  




  •   Strong Project Management and demonstrated success in managing large scale exterior renovation projects as well as interior fitout out and renovations.
• Experience with construction site and building systems and a thorough understanding of construction management proces s , practices and administration.


• Manage financial responsibilit i es o f assigned projects including the requisition and change order process es  


• Computer knowledge with MS WORD, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.   Knowledge of web based construction management systems a plus.



  •  A bility to coordinate trade activities and subcontractors

    Conduct daily site visits in order to track progress.   Provide guidance to APM's and./;or superintendents on how to maintain forward progress.

  • Create General Conditions and change order budgets for the owners' review and approval.   Analyze, track and monitor the budget and recommend adjustments.

  • Issue change orders in order to communicate and clarify changes to keep the project moving along.   Monitor actions of Document Control Clerks and APM's to assure change orders are properly administered.

  • Follow up with all parties regarding RFI's, submittals and permits.

  • Attend weekly meetings with the owners, design team, safety team, etc to resolve issues, update project status and coordinate information between the parties. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for meetings as needed.

  • Anticipate issues or concerns with schedule and budget, and analyze and then implement corrective actions with appropriate parties.   Acting independently where appropriate, take ownership

  • Negotiate with vendors, clients and/or owners on change orders costs/timelines to keep project moving forward.

  • Prepare detailed analyses and reports for management on key deliverables according to the project plan.

    Qualifications (knowledge/skills/education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, mechanical, electrical, construction management), or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience.

  • 5-10 years of field project management experience.

  • Knowledge of architectural field desirable, to understand design aspects of the project.

  • Experience in putting together schedules by utilizing software

  • Understanding of project estimating requirements

  • Ability to prepare bids, budgets, RFI's

  • Ability to read shop drawings

  • Ability to analyze data and numbers

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills with various automated tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.
