Requisition ID:
Position requires a candidate with experience in vessel and dock handling logistics activities, which could incorporate, vehicle scheduling, loading ships, barges, roll-on/roll-off vessels and inter-coastal vessels with general cargo, mobile equipment and over-dimensional cargo. Candidate must have both practical experience in cargo handling and experience tracking and handling documentation. Reports to and receives operational direction from the Cross Harbour Manager.

- Provides operational direction to assigned project craft and sub-contractor representatives at cross harbour facilities.
- Contacts
- Maintains close working relationships with other Procurement disciplines within the project team, and the appropriate staff members of the Project Inventory management Team, In-Country Traffic and Logistics Management team and Construction personnel.
Essential Duties:
- Oversees the activities of assigned personnel to ensure timely completion of individual and team responsibilities.
- Establishes and implements plans instructions, procedures and work process improvements to ensure the safe, timely and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of milestone and performance reports to satisfy project information requirements.
- Oversees Traffic & Logistics service provider performance to ensure services are carried out as contracted for and to ensure that project requirements are satisfied. Reports all inconsistencies to either the Cross Harbour Manager or Site Procurement Manager as appropriate.
- Ensures safety requirements and measures are integrated into all work activities.
- Able to work in either a night or day shift role.
- Handling cross harbour logistics requirements of sub-contractors, to ensure sub-contractors cargo arrives on-site in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of project standard work process procedures and policies and must complete necessary Bechtel University training related to work and mandatory courses concerning ethics, security and government regulations
Basic Qualifications:
Knowledge and proficiency that is consistent with the salary grade determination (listed below) with the following:
- Bechtel and Supply Chain instructions, policies and procedures
- Bechtel Traffic and Logistics procedures (Supply Chain College)
- Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) T&L module as a Traffic & Logistics cost and information management tool
- Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with governmental regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology
- Project Traffic & Logistics execution plans and procedures
- Supervisory methods and techniques to maximize team and individual performance and ensuring employee satisfaction
- Communicates with suppliers as necessary to achieve required service and results from potential and actual suppliers to meet project needs.
- Communicates with site construction/PFPS teams to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment and to achieve the understanding needed to process these requisitions
