The challenge? Helping to develop and provide high quality, leading edge piping design services to the Canadian oil and gas market. Our Piping Designer jobs provide you the opportunity to work with and develop quality pipe design for CH2M HILL and our clients. Each day, you will be responsible for delivering quality design solutions that meet our client and project specifications while working within a multidiscipline engineering team. You should be a self-motivated professional designer with a successful 3+ year track record in a piping design position, with experience working in EPC type department involved in refineries, upgraders, Oil & Gas, and petro-chemicals projects, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each piping design job.
Our Piping Designers:
- Prepare piping drawings including P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, isometrics and general arrangement drawings using 2D & 3D CAD Software
- Work with senior designers throughout the design development
- Work with Mechanical and Pipeline Engineers developing detail design drawings Interface between disciplines such as Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil and Structural
- Prepare drawing/equipment/line/valve/lists
- Update drawings as required during the design process, ensuring they are checked, approved and filed in accordance with the relevant quality system procedure
Basic Qualifications 3+ years of piping experience in the petrochemical industry
Familiar with national and local mechanical/piping design codes and standards Preferred Qualifications SP3D or CADWorx experience a plus Degree Required High School or GED Preferred Years of Experience 5 What you will find At CH2M HILL, the greatest challenges provide the biggest rewards.
