Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and minimum 12 years experience or Master's Degree and 9 years experience. PMP preferred.
Specific skills and experience required:
• Requires 5 years of IT or Engineering project management experience.
• Must have experience with government contracting
• Ability to drive technical projects to completion, managing resources, cost, and schedule.
• Excellent understanding of project management concepts.
• Proven track record in demanding, customer service oriented environment.
• Good client relationship management skills and experience working with senior level executives and project sponsors.
• Familiarity with software and system development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Must be a self-starter, process oriented, and highly motivated
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (desirable).
• Experience with an enterprise-level help desk ticketing system preferred.
• Extreme attention to detail required with excellent documentation skills.
• Must be able to think independently.
• High level of initiative and self-confidence along with strong verbal and written communication skills is important.
• Skill in managing one's own time and manage/prioritize multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Skills in communicating effectively orally and in written format.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Perm Resident required; must be able to pass/maintain Agency clearance ( NACI background check - Public Trust).

URS Federal Services has an immediate opportunity for an engineering Project Manager to join our team supporting the SEC. The position is in Washington, DC (Union Station / Red Line). This is an opportunity to contribute to a highly dynamic and evolving technology environment implementing emerging Storage, Virtualization, Big Data technologies.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all IT engineering projects and moving them successfully through full system life cycle. You will be responsible for interfacing with the Government client, the URS Program Manager, and the URS Engineering Manager by ensuring contract deliverables related to project performance are communicated; assist in gathering new client requirements and communicating these to the technical team; monitors a project team within a matrix organization, encouraging functional organizations to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules.
The individual should be familiar with system development, security policies and procedures, and system administration of applications and systems.
