Purpose of role:
To manage the Commercial function for Head Franchise business within the Zone, ensuring sales and margin (through NPD, Sales Planning, Event Planning, Stock availability, relationship management and customer focus) are maximized to the mutual benefit of the Zone and the Franchisee. To champion the implementation of commercial best practices and guidelines within the Zone.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Undertake forward sales and event planning, working closely with Franchisee Analysts, Account Directors, International Brand/Commercial, Retail Academy, parallel with gathering, sharing and incorporating learning from launches and events.
- Determine and agree optimum promotional pricing and levers through analysis, with final sign off of whole sale pricing for EMEA Head Franchisee Markets and wholesale margin generated by category.
- Responsible with Franchise Account Directors to drive ongoing market sales and wholesale margin performance analytics to determine best practice for optimizing local space, assortment, pricing and promotions, whilst approving event selection and timing recommendations in order to support the longer-term market strategy.
- Determine core, NPD and event/promotional pricing to balance margin, growth, brand equity and competitor positioning with focus on the Franchise and consumer
- Work closely with International Brand and Commercial, understanding franchise market needs trends that re not met, delivering responsive actions to tactical trading and competitor/consumer behavior.
- Develop franchisee market inventory planning and sales forecasting ensuring optimum volume orders and maximum sell-through for one off product and seasonal buys.
Experience:
- Experience in a similar commercial role, ideally across a range of international/multi-geography retail businesses.
- Experience of managing a results-focused commercial analytical and decision making team with an established international retail or consumer business.
- Proven tracked record of driving improved sales, margin, transactions and growth.
- Proven track record of driving commercial excellence through a business.
