Requisition ID: Role Overview Reporting to the Commissioning & Start-up Manager, the CSU Lead Scheduler will provide commissioning planning and scheduling service to the CSU Team. Responsible to develop and maintain the project overall resource loaded CSU schedule, as well as development of detailed schedules for specific tasks and work with the Field Project Controls team on schedule updates. Develop and update 4-week & 180 days look-ahead schedules and perform progress tracking and reporting. Basic Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and/or relevant equivalent practical experience (15-20 years) working with procedures, operations and management of large EPC projects during the commissioning and start-up stage.
- Provide comments and recommendations for completions phase planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project controls. Prepares detailed plans and schedules covering all required activities for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
- Review project work activities to ensure support of project CSU milestones. Coordinate the timely, systematic and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
- Prepare the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project CSU plan. Review the performing organisation's and unit's work logics and determines whether the schedules will adequately support the overall project CSU schedule. Plan, coordinate and establish the level of quantification appropriate to the objectives of the effort and to the level of scope definition of each discipline or speciality and designates reference job(s) for source data and / or reconciliations of quantities. Review completeness and reasonableness of quantities.
- Verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility. Responsible for issuing reports required by CSU management.
- Perform project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to CSU project team for discussion and/or decision.
- Develop and integrate pre-commissioning and commissioning schedule with Bechtel's construction schedules and QCLNG Start-Up schedules.
- Develop turnover waterfall and skyline defining specific turnover dates.
- Develop and maintain level 4 pre-commissioning and commission schedules.
Primary Skills: - Experience in performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, with specific experience and knowledge of OG&C CSU (LNG experience preferred) activities and responsibilities on projects.
- Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (Primavera and Microsoft Office applications for example).
- Advanced capability and experience with Primavera P6 is required.
- Minimum 10 years oil and gas experience with LNG experience as a preference. Demonstrated experience in start-up and commissioning of large EPC projects.
Communication Skills: - Good oral and written communications skills.
- Must be able to effectively interface with others and provide reporting to senior project management.
- Must handle people and issues with a professional demeanour.
