Bechtel is seeking a Front End UI Developer to join our team in San Francisco. You'll get the chance to build modern single-page web applications that run on both the desktop and mobile devices, using RESTful APIs, deploy apps to AWS and/or other cloud platforms, but mostly, help us delight customers with an engaging user experience.
We work with technologies that are cutting edge but also rewarding for us as developers: Node.JS, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Redis, BackboneJS, WebSockets, AWS, and anything remarkable you can introduce us to.

We collaborate in a small scrum team, BDD our code, code review each other, and deploy several times a day. And we encourage you to learn new technologies and share what you learn with others.The Front End UI Developer will work as part of a collaborative development team to support the creation and maintenance of web-based software applications and high visibility/high demand websites. Daily work touches on all aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle for projects in all stages of development ranging from requirements gathering, coding, and testing.

Basic Qualifications (Level 1):

3+ years of experience in front end (UI) web based development
1+ years of experience building, testing, deploying and maintaining front-end code for web pages and applications in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience using frameworks like Sencha or jQuery
6+ years of relevant information technology experience
Bachelors Degree

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

3+ years of experience in front end (UI) web based development
1+ years of experience building, testing, deploying and maintaining front-end code for web pages and applications in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience using frameworks like Sencha or jQuery
1 year of experience in a lead position
9+ years of relevant information technology experience
Bachelors Degree

Comfortable working on a Linux and/or Mac command line
Enjoy solving problems with elegant but simple solutions
Love working outside of IDEs and structured systems
Passionate about delivering quality code
Easily communicate ideas in a virtual environment
Strong portfolio and code samples
Strong communication skills and customer-service skills
Ability to be able to perform with little direction or supervision
Ability to work well within a team environment
