Environmental Client Service Manager - Chemical / Petro Chemical - Houston, TX

Our Client Service Manager (CSM) need is a combined Client Service Manager with either a Project Manager or Senior Technologist competency that will provide you with the opportunity to both identify, convert and deliver on Chemical and Petro-Chemical projects while building and strengthen relationships with our targeted clients . Our goal of the CSM is to use his/her established relationships and reputation to uncover environmental service opportunities, work on the conversion of those opportunities to projects and then lead or be a technical member of the delivery of new business with Chemical and Petro Chemical clients located across the Gulf Coast. Client management/business development responsibilities as a Client Service Manager for this position include client facing activities that lead to the identification of new project opportunities , then leading and/or contributing to the pursuit, capture, and management of industrial environmental services type projects to grow and cultivate our industrial client business. Each day, as a combined CSM and either Project Manager or Senior Technologist , you will be the face of CH2M HILL with the responsibility for developing project work and leading project teams in all phases of the execution and delivery of projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with more than 15 years demonstrated experience in an environmental consulting environment, capable of demonstrating a history of serving as a Client Service Manager, bringing in environmental opportunities, working in the conversion of the opportunity and then delivering projects and expanding work areas with existing chemical or petrochemical clients while growing new productive relationships, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Client Service Manager/Project Manager or Senior Technologist role.

Our Client Service Manager/Project Manager-Senior Technologist:

Serve as Account Manager for both current Gulf Coast Chemicals and Petrochemicals Accounts as well as Account Manager for new clients the CSM already has.
Are an active member of an Account team(s) wrapped around the targeted clients creating and driving strategies and tactics for growth in our environmental chemical/pharmaceutical business
Work directly with clients to understand and meet their expectations, leverage work to develop further or follow-on business opportunities for the firm
Participate in client development discussions and leading and/or writing proposals for submission to clients
Participate in contract negotiations, supporting in the development of pricing strategies, and preparing proposals for submission to clients. With this position you will serve as a leader and mentor to junior and mid level staff working on your pursuits and projects
Assist in selling a broad range of services to clients including developing strategies and proposals for environmental projects for the chemical/pharmaceutical market
Lead, guide, manage and/or support the delivery of projects and leading project teams to ensure product quality, and on-schedule and on-budget completion OR serve as Senior Technologist based on your technical acumen.
Work interactively with engineers, planners, and scientists on chemical and petrochemical projects
Develop internal relationships to support the overall growth and success of CH2M HILL's Environmental Services Business Group, mentor peer and mid-level staff, and steward client satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or other closely related environmentally based degree
Minimum of 15 years environmental experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience as a client service manager or with business development experience
Mininum of 7-10 years project management or technologist level experience
Ability to demonstrate project management skills, client relationships and technical background serving the chemical/petrochemical industry

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or other closely related environmentally based degree
Existing relationships with chemical or petrochemical clients is highly preferred
