Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, environmental science, transportation, civil engineering, public policy, preservation or related area of study.

Minimum 10 years experience in Hazard Mitigation and long -term disaster recovery planning with state and federal agencies. Practical knowledge of international development and planning.

Good working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

US Citizenship requirement because of work on federal contracts.

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

URS is looking for a creative, motivated self-starter and team player to support the Sustainability and Environmental Management Group in a temporary capacity as an environmental planner to assist with Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts in New York, New Jersey and other New England areas. The candidate must be willing to travel for periods up to several months at a time. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
