Job Description:  Contributing to the new global Visual Merchandising presentation direction and communication to elevate The Body Shop brand through visual presentation.

Under the direction of a VM Manager contributes to the Events activation through visual presentation.

Key Job Accountabilities:


  • Contributing to the visual execution for a specific category/ies and/or event/s

  • Ensure visual execution for category/categories perimeters is suitable for all shop styles

  • Develop innovative presentation initiatives in order to maximise visual impact and sales performance of innovations and promotions

  • Create new and innovative presentations for category, events and promotions that support Marketing brief objectives

  • Create new innovative presentations for VM projects

  • Work in mock-shops to test visual strategies and for generation of creative in packs

  • Research best practices within competitors and stay abreast of innovations and apply learnings to The Body Shop visual standards

  • Ensure VM initiatives work across all store types and shop fit types and store sizes

  • Ensure component development for VM is suitable production by store size and shop fit, retail design

  • Stay abreast of developments in Visual Merchandising in the marketplace

  • Understand ethical developments in relation to a VM


Other
To actively engage with Company and Franchised Markets through Market and Store visits and


  • to spend 2 days per month (or four - ½ days per month) working in Store with Store Staff and The Body Shop customer.

  • To perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers.

Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent.





Competencies required:




  • Entrepreneurial work ethic

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic Photoshop

  • Powerpoint and 3D rendering

  • InDesign (not compulsory)

  • Ability to self-manage workload and multi-task to tight deadlines

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to identify and incorporate new trends in fashion and visual merchandising into projects.

  • Impeccable eye for detail
