Job Description:  UPK Developer
This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of training guides and associated documentation for use in-class instructor led training. Utilizes Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) to translate written documentation to computer based training (CBT) scripts/courses for t training.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Conducts trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct
•Tests and releases new/enhanced applications
•Creates, maintains, and distributes user documentation for new systems/applications which are developed or enhanced
•Develops user training for new/enhanced systems
•Second level of support for user system questions and issues.
•Performs some data maintenance for internal applications
•Gather user requirements for new/enhanced internal systems
•Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program; prepares and maintains training guides and associated documentation for use in-class instructor led training
•Compiles edits and reviews documents with subject matter experts to ensure validity and accuracy of training documentation; written and UPK CBT modules
•Participates in review of material with the SME's to guarantee accuracy of training material
•Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Job Requirements:


• 2+ years experience with UPK 3.6.1
• 2+ years experience creating UPK Assessments
• Some experience with UPK Professional 11.1.0 and the Knowledge Center preferred.
• 2+ years experience with converting courseware, documentation, and end user scripts to UPK scenarios.
• Working knowledge and experience with training development tools.
• Experience in managing assignments developing and building new business relationships, and delivering training solutions.
• Update existing training materials in-line with Customer methodology to enable maximum knowledge transfer
• Translate current materials into usable UPK training modules. Capture screen shots or copy and paste documents to create action frames or explanation frames for UPK
• Update UPK simulations to include information as to why steps are being taken as well as business rules and recommendations where appropriate
• Add concept panes to UPK simulations to introduce topics
• Work with subject matter experts to review and revise all materials to reflect current business practices
• Pilot materials to select groups of subject matter experts to finalize timing and content
• Update UPK training modules. Make edits when reviewing training modules and make changes after patch updates are passed through testing and deployed to production
• Create concept panes (HTML Pages) for UPK simulations to introduce topics
• Establish standards for format of developed training materials
• Install and troubleshoot UPK installations
• Recommend and implement a blended ERP learning solutions (web-based training, instructor-led training) utilizing Oracle UPK
• Additionally, this role will assist with UPK End-User training, maintaining an accurate and up to date UPK document library, and establishing a relationship with our team to become familiar with the UPK Server environment that will assist with troubleshooting UPK errors.
• Collaborate with IT Analysts and Developers to collect and interpret scripted process documents.
• Convert end-to-end Oracle process scripts to UPK training scenarios.
• Design, develop, and deliver end-user training materials, user guides, class room exercises, and student assessments using Oracle UPK.
• Develop UPK training material that can be utilized online and in print.
• Recommend and implement a blended ERP learning solutions (web-based training, instructor-led training) utilizing Oracle UPK.
• Provide UPK end-user and or developer training when required.
• Gather information from the SW Leads and Business Owner's to enhance the content of UPK scenarios.
• Provides technical support to all users of internally developed applications.
• Creates, distributes, and maintains user documentation the internal information systems. Participates in the definition and evolution of internal applications based on user requirements.
