Job Description:  Support project design goals and continue meeting client needs. Design telecommunications systems which include microwave, mobile radio and subsystems. Works to review, improve, design, and implement telecommunications networks.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
  • Conduct independent investigations, studies, and complicated engineering analysis
  • Prepare design calculations or details, plans and/or specifications
  • Prepare quantity calculations and develop cost estimates
  • Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for the approval of management concerning the project
  • Serve as quality control reviewer
  • Ensure conformance with standards, established engineering practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
  • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments in his/her specific field
  • Take necessary actions to ensure the project proceeds on schedule and within budget limitations
  • Review shop drawings and Requests For Information (RFIs)
  • Implement and follow Company Quality Management System procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years experience with the installation and test of microwave radios, multiplexers / routers and alarm management systems.
Minimum of 2 years experience with element management platforms such as SAM, ProVision, Starview, etc.

  • Experience in the design and implementation of LMR trunked radio systems including propagation modeling desired. Experienced in the design, installation and test of the following:
  • Licensed microwave equipment 6.2 to 11.2 GHz bands
  • Antenna systems, 6.2 to 11.2 GHz
  • SONET, MPLS / IP Routers and node equipment
  • Ethernet microwave
  • M1-3, Channel banks, and other Asynchronous multiplexer equipment
  • Un-licensed microwave
  • Wireless 802.11, 802.16, and LTE a plus Analog Microwave, multiplexers, and circuit based interfaces
