AECOM currently has an opportunity for an experienced Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our transportation bridge group in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects.
Specifics of the role include:
- Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges.
- Assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
- Load rating of existing bridges.
- Project engineering and project management.
- Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures.
- Ability to work under occasional pressure to meet tight project schedules.
- Preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and provision of construction phase services.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. As a team-player you are professional in dealing with colleagues of all levels and disciplines. Qualifications:
- Structural Engineer with 8-15 years experience primarily in bridge design
- Bachelor's degree with a Structural Engineering focus; Master's Degree a plus
- Strong Technical skills and ability to provide technical leadership
- Project experience on Massachusetts Department of Transportation projects and/or other State DOT's
- A current Professional Engineering license in Massachusetts and/or surrounding states
- Project management skills
- Well versed in modern structural, analytical and design software packages
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
