Job Description:

Positions in both Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

The primary duties of the Resident Engineer includes working independently under broad, general supervision. Requires a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.

Responsibilities include:

Writing and issuing field orders,
Innitiating change proposals for design team review and approval,
Estimating cost of changes,
Negotiating costs with contractor and recommending acceptance to Project Manager.
Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and sub-consultants.

Requirements:

BS Civil Engineering or Construction.
California PE license preferred.
Experience with Microsoft office as well as other construction related PC software such as MS Project.
Primavera and others relating to construction projects.
10+ years progressive experience on multi-disciplinary heavy transportation construction projects required.
