Job Description:

The Engineering Intern performs assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. Exercises judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Supervisor screens assignments and provides guidance in techniques and procedures to be applied. Receives close supervision on all aspects of assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare basic deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates related to electrical engineering.
Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
Assist lead engineer in tasks as required.

Qualifications:

2 + years in an accredited engineering program.
Registered engineer in training preferred.
Completion of classes in basic electrical engineering. Strong technical writing skills are required.
AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation drafting experience.
