AECOM is seeking a leader for its Tunnel Ventilation practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to join our team of dynamic, high-performance professionals in building this key market segment. The position requires minimum of a BSME or equivalent. A PhD in ME or a related field is a bonus. A PE license in ME and/or Fire Protection is required. Position requires 20+ years of experience in transit passenger/freight rail and roadway tunnel ventilation and fire/life safety analyses and design, with an emphasis on tunnels and large enclosed structures such as passenger stations, bus maintenance facilities, airport terminals, etc. Position also requires excellent working knowledge of Subway Environment Simulation (SES) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software application, analyses, interpretation and reporting. Candidates must have an excellent working knowledge of the various codes and standards required for transit rail and roadway tunnels and enclosed structures. The Senior Manager, Tunnel Ventilation will also focus on expanding upon current client relationships, and may have direct sales contact with existing and potential clients to help increase our market share. Must exhibit a strong understanding of the North America tunnel vent ilation market. The successful candidate also needs to be an excellent communicator, both oral & written, and be able to provide leadership in large, multi-disciplinary teams working in multiple offices. Position requires the ability to market and sell rail/roadway tunnel ventilation and fire/life safety engineering services to world-wide clients. Position will be based in New York with offices in Oakland and Atlanta and will require approximately 25% travel. Incumbent will supervise up to 15 tunneling ventilation professionals.
