Perform structural analysis and design of various types of buildings including seismic upgrade and retrofit of existing structure. Must be technically competent in all engineering aspects. Implements solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Recommends appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Experience coordinating with the field, performing site surveys, and completing site observations The ability to work with, interpret, and apply National and Local Codes Excellent communication skills, as this individual will be working with both internal architecture and design teams as well as external parties, such as Building Departments, clients, and vendors Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Requirements BS in Civil/Structural Engineering is required, MS strongly preferred 0-2 years of experience in structural design of steel, concrete and wood building. Successful interface with clients, vendors, and craft personnel from internships or relevant exp. Working knowledge in structural engineering programs such as ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D and SAP2000. Familiarity with Revit 2012 and Auto CAD 2010/2012 Self-motivated with excellent written/oral communication skills and proficiency with MS Office Professional License.
