The Gladstone LNG (GLNG) Project is a grass roots 2 Train Liquefied Natural Gas Facility that will be constructed on Curtis Island, (near Gladstone) Australia on a camp status, fly in/fly out basis for non-local personnel. It will be performed using a combination of Direct Hire and Construction Management of experienced specialist Australian Subcontractors methods.

Role Overview

Provide onsite, real time support to resolving pipe stress related physical design issues associated with the installation of piping scope.

Provide support / clarifications to Field Engineering as to the scope of material supply provided by HO Engineering and guidance to understanding the material management aspect of that program.

Provide Field Engineering information and clarifications on interfaces between module scope and stick built scope as it pertains to pipe stress related design questions.

Responsibilities include:

Provide stress engineering support of the creation of design packages to be issued as DCN's or PTR document responses in support of addressing design gaps and / or field condition required changes.

Monitor the PTR program in conjunction with the RE piping designer for pipe stress related items and provide or expedite design engineering responses as required.

Provide pipe stress support for late design changes being implemented in the field.

Actively monitor piping installation program and support Field Engineering in arranging stress walk downs as required by Bechtel project procedures.

Basic Qualifications

B. S. Degree in Engineering
Experience as a stress engineer for a minimum of 3 to 5 years
Experience with standard Bechtel stress analysis CAESAR II (3 to 5 years) & SPR
Good verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications Desirable To Position:

Familiar with technical deliverables from HO Engineering per the Project Engineering Procedures Manual
Experience with LNG and with CoP Licensed LNG technology in particular
Previous field and field walk down experience
