Manages an organization and/or teams within a discipline in areas of information systems, including application, infrastructure and user support at each stage of a project cycle. Provides leadership and assists with career development and personnel management. Provides technical direction, development, training and mentoring to subordinate team members. Plans and maintains budgets and project schedules. Represents IS&T in interface meetings and manages internal and external customers. Prepares and contributes to project planning activities: staffing, quality, execution, automation. Leads efforts to maintain and audit compliance with corporate, GBU and project work processes and standards. Provides cost benefit analyses and risk analyses for any deviation requests. Supports the business initiatives and goals of the global business unit. Champions company process improvement and leadership initiatives. Job knowledge: Overall knowledge of Bechtel IS&T work processes, organization and operation. Overall knowledge of Bechtel infrastructure: hardware, operating systems, system architecture, network infrastructure. Skill in defining and collecting metrics to gauge project progress. Strong ability to develop a clear point of view and articulate solution in non-technical terms supported by data and analysis and is able to sell ideas to others. Ability to apply general accounting principles and monitor expenditure in support of programs and policies. Thorough working knowledge of company process improvement, PBL and leadership initiatives. Demonstrated leadership skills including selecting, retaining and developing team leads and obtaining high quality work from staff. Strong ability to manage geographically dispersed project teams. Strong ability to influence external IS&T groups located in geographically dispersed regions to achieve high quality results. The successful candidate will have a recognized degree from an accredited university plus 15 years of experience in relevant industries with demonstrated growth in personal and professional development.
