CH2M HILL Lead Process Engineer- Houston, TX

The challenge? Helping our clients plan, develop, engineer, construct and operate large-scale gasification plants. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the energy and chemicals industry. Lead Process Engineer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting mid- and large-scale gas processing projects in our Houston office.

Our Lead Process Engineer- Gas Processing:

Lead processing teams on major projects, starting from conceptual engineering through detailed engineering, commissioning and start-up
Develop/enhance facility configurations, evaluate multiple processing technologies for best application specific feedstocks, prepare evaluations of acid gas removal technologies, determine ideal product/product mixes
When serving as owner's engineer, provide senior level review of Front-end Engineering and Design and detailed design deliverables prepared by clients' engineering firms and vendors
Maintain, expand and promote his/her processing know-how within the Houston Office as well as other CH2M HILL offices and business groups.
Assist Business Lead and Business Development by participating on proposals, client meetings, presentations and industry conferences
Desired areas of expertise and know-how: coal and pet coke gasification; syngas cooling and cleaning; acid gas removal systems; water shift reactors; syngas use for producing liquid fuels, industrial gases, chemicals, fertilizers, and for power generation
During proposal phase, assist in developing process scope of work and process effort hour estimate
Develop staffing plan and schedule to complete gas processing work
Manage to confirm gas processing work is completed within Budget and Schedule
Routinely provide an estimate to complete (ETC) for remaining work

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors in Chemical Engineering

25+ years experience

Masters in Chemical Engineering

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree

Certifications Required

Preferred Years of Experience
