Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in IT Systems Management or related field plus 7 years experience or combination of education, certifications and specialized industry experience (subject to the Government Contracting Officer granting a waiver).
Specific skills and experience required:
• Ability to support Storage Area Networks (SAN) to included arrays such as: EMC CLARiiON, DMX Symmetrix, EMC VNX Series, and Centera
• Ability to support Network Attached Storage (NAS) to included NetApp filers, as well as EMC NAS Celerra, Isilon, and VNX Series; previous hands-on NetApp experience is required.
• Ability to administrator and zone Fibre switches to include Brocade and Cisco MDS
• Ability to complete server side SAN administration to include HBA (Emulex) configuration, SAN Software installation (Navisphere Agent/CLI), Disk administration, etc.
• Experience with rollout/implementation of SAN/NAS
• Command-line interface and scripting knowledge on industry-leading storage devices
• Experience with storage trend reporting
• Experience using SRDF, Mirrorview/Snapview, and SANCopy
• SAN management experience with Sun Solaris, HPUX, AIX and Windows OS
• Microsoft Windows/Active Directory technology knowledge a plus
• Experience with SAN storage monitoring/management software - preferably EMC ECC
• Experience with Veritas Volume Manager preferred
• Ability to research and articulate recommended solutions and technology
• Ability to design, develop and document technical solutions
• Ability to document procedures and change management documentation
• Experience with the ITSM helpdesk ticketing system
• Detail oriented and must be able to think independently
• High level of initiative and self-confidence along with strong verbal and written communication skills is important.
• Skill in managing one's own time and the time of others based on an established project plan
• Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Job Description:
URS Federal Services has immediate opportunities for mid-level Storage Engineers to join our team supporting the SEC. The position is in Washington, DC (Union Station / Red Line).
The Storage Engineer will have a heavy focus on Storage Area Network (SAN)/Network Attached Storage (NAS) administration, specifically using EMC , and NetApp hardware. This is an opportunity to contribute to a highly dynamic and evolving technology environment implementing emerging Storage, Virtualization, Big Data technologies.
This is a full time 24/7 rotation position with evenings and/or weekend hours possible.
Duties include performing SAN/NAS management, coordinating and performing system backups, performing system installation and testing, monitoring system availability, troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolving problems, recovering processes affected during down-times, developing system modifications, hardware and software configurations/upgrades/maintenance, performing monitoring and tuning, performing change management, creation of technical and procedural documentation, and disaster recovery participation.
