Summary of Role: SunPower is seeking a Product Manager - Monitoring (PMM) to manage the launch and lifecycle of Rooftop (Residential and Commercial) monitoring solutions globally. The position is in SunPower's Products group and will be based in one of SunPower's San Francisco Bay Area offices. The PMM reports to the Product Line Manager - Monitoring and Energy Management and will be responsible for defining "Energy Solutions" for our end customers that will range from Solar Power generation at roof tops, to consumption management that will be monitored and managed by an integrated solution, to data products that facilitate O&M services.
Minimum Requirements:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in a technical field from a leading engineering program
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent understanding of embedded systems, modern communication protocols, database, mobile and web technologies, and photovoltaic systems
  • Ability to develop complex combined financial / technical models in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and coordinate cross functional teams
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of clients and partners
  • Self-starter, able to thrive in a fast paced and continually changing environment
  • Leadership skills and strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
Preferred Requirements:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree in a technical field from a leading engineering program
  • 2 or more years in product management
  • Experience with Agile software development a plus. Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred
  • Experience working with internationally distributed cross functional teams
  • French, German, Italian and/or Spanish fluency*LI-TJ
