Summary of Role: The Recruiting/L&D Manager is critical to our success in the region as we implement our new strategic roadmap to support our business' hiring and create the needed structure for employees to grow professionally and to increase their business effectiveness. Active partnerships with Business Leaders, HR business partners, Finance, Purchasing, Legal, and outside vendors will ensure the integrity and scalability of processes and systems.

In relation to the recruiting, this position delivers high quality professional and executive-level candidates and advances the SunPower brand across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process. This role will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. To be successful, it's necessary to be both visionary and hands-on in this role. You will build recruiting strategies, help design go-to-market plans for candidate attraction, source/recruit candidates, make offers and much more.

You will partner with the HR Manager France with Work Council meetings related to training and co-facilitate the WC Training Commission.

Recruiting:
  • Work closely with HR Director, EMEA/APAC to implement the recruitment strategy in the region
  • Serve the recruiting partner function for the entire recruitment life cycle from sourcing candidates to salary negotiations
  • Confer with senior leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments. Provide training to hiring managers to improve hiring results
  • Identify unique and non-traditional sources for finding candidates. Develop leading-edge methods to attract talent. Understand predictive impact of applied strategies.
  • Effectively screen and interview candidates to meet client needs then negotiate and communicate offer to successful candidates. Manage communication and logistics for interviews.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed information on the company, our business strategy, department background, expectations, etc.
  • Assess, plan, and deploy resources for best effectiveness, efficiency and costs. Assess and improve current processes to ensure SunPower attracts and hires the best talent available.
  • Deliver hires to meet staffing goals on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Partner closely with HRBPs and Finance to ensure headcount and hiring activity is current all the time.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of the global economy, specific industry fluctuations to construct business cases for proposed solutions. Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified leaders.
  • Manage and act as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Applicant Tracking System including project lead responsibilities, reporting & analytics, training, compliance, and internal user communication.
  • Provide weekly Req Activity/Candidate Pipeline Reports to hiring managers and Director of HR
  • Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and interns.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-Art recruiting practices.

As far as the Learning and Development part of the role, the position will lead identification of needs, develop and implement the training plan, evaluate performance, optimize budgets and partner selection. You will monitor the roll out of the training (follow training plan, OPCA folders, etc). An important part of the tasks will be related to the management of the French training plans. In addition, you will be the person of contact for the implementation of all global training plans. This role will be critical in achieving our growth targets by providing our sales team with in-depth product and sales knowledge, our engagement targets by providing our employees with clear opportunities for development, and our business targets by providing our leaders with the tools to ensure their groups' success

As L&D lead in the region, you will work in close collaboration with the HR Manager France and the International HR Managers to guarantee the deployment of Corporate training programs in France and internationally. You will consolidate all training plans, you will ensuring the proper application of methods and tools and participate in their evolution as needed. You are the primary contact for external partners (OPCA, training organizations), and will assure all legal compliance per local rules.

L&D:
  • Manage assessment of SunPower's talent needs, and provide tools to help us meet them.
  • Lead curriculum development, approach and methodology using multiple training modalities (instructor-led, online, social, on-the-job, and blended)
  • Drive our successful training programs, typically by managing outsourced delivery of training, or by providing hands-on leadership of the most strategically critical offerings
  • Drive implementation of our non-instructor led initiatives, such as global mentoring programs or peer learning approaches in the region.
  • Oversee Talent Development operations, including effective use of our LMS, monitoring and acting on appropriate metric.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR staff, and managers to create specific programs to meet employee needs, typically using blended approaches
    • Manage the on-boarding and enculturation processes
    • Create other programs to drive engagement and employee growth
Minimum Requirements: • 5 + years recruiting experience
2+ years experience manager training plan in France
• BA or equivalent education
• Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong experience utilizing online sourcing methods, creating new attraction strategies/methods, innovating communication standards into proactive recruiting model.
  • Experience using LinkedIn as recruiting tool; understanding of how to implement alerts in order to be prompted with new information
• Experience negotiating and managing recruitment agencies
• Experience negotiating contracts with job boards
• Experience managing relationships with Universities and trade associations
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent understanding of the legal requirements related to French training programs
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong team player
• Positive attitude

  • Language Requirements
    • Fluency in English and French is required other European languages are a plus.

  • Travel Requirements
    • Pan-European travel might be required from time to time.
