Summary of Role: The Italian Field PV Tech Leader is responsible for technical reporting for customer of all incidences on sites under his responsibility, reporting the Key Performance Indicators for field activities, coordination of the field activities and remote monitoring, measurement and test equipment calibration, spare parts and test equipment/ tools inventory management, procurement of parts and services, portions of customer on boarding, Maximo record audits, O&M procedures management. Reporting to the Italian Field PV Tech Leader are contractors and SunPower employees.

10 to 15% travel is required for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare an annual budget and manage costs for the Coordinator?s area of responsibility.

2. Understand contract commitments and supervise/direct resources as needed to fulfill contractual responsibilities for the PV Tech Leader?s area of responsibility.

3. Select contractors and review/approve contractor invoices, time sheets and expense reports.

4. Develop processes and procedures, implement and manage the Italian?s O&M department spare parts inventory, including inventory owned by customers, but managed by Italian O&M group.

5. Develop processes and procedures, implement and manage the O&M measurement and test equipment calibration program.

6. Develop processes and procedures, implement and manage the procurement, issuance, tracking and collection of SunPower tools, equipment and uniforms to Italy O&M PV technicians and contractor PV technicians.

7. Procurement of parts, material and services for Italy O&M group including contracts, insurance requirements, master service agreement development and implementation, development and use of blanket purchase orders.

8. Develop procedures and processes, implement and manage the quoting of Italy O&M group billable services to external SunPower customers. Included in this duty is the collection/research of expenses to support invoicing for billable services rendered.

9. Develop processes and procedures, implement and manage assigned portions of the customer on-boarding process.

10. Administratively manage the Italy O&M Department?s procedures.

11. Prepare the technical reports for all the sites under his responsibility.

12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong technical, supervisory, and project management/organizational skills.

2. Strong analytical skills.

3. Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors.

4. Ability to work with minimal or no supervision with a customer service focus.

5. Ability to work in high pressure situations.

6. Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.

7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Strong knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

9. Present a professional appearance that portrays a positive image to customers.

Minimum Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. High school graduate.

2. Experience using computer work management and scheduling tools.

3. Experience reading and interpreting electrical, I&C, and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

4. Ability to work with minimal supervision with a customer service focus.

5. Two years of experience maintaining/servicing electrical systems preferred.

6. At least on year of contract and budget management experience preferred.

Preferred Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

MATHEMATICAL and ANALYTICAL SKILLS

1. Ability to analyze data and identify anomalies.

2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, lengths, and electrical values.

3. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistical analysis.

REASONING ABILITY & DECISION MAKING SKILLS

1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, architectural or electrical drawing, or schedule form.

2. Ability to analyze and respond to organizational and personnel issues as they relate to the Italy O&M Department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Be able to inspect and work construction activities in outdoor construction type areas without handicap access.

WORK ENVIRONMENT T

he work will performed in an office environment most of the time; however, to maintain an understanding of Italy O&M team member challenges and needs, the Italian PV Tech Leader will be required to perform audits and surveillances at PV system installations exposing the Coordinator to the risk of electric shock, heights, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. Additionally while working outdoors, the employee is exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, and ultraviolet radiation from the sun. The noise levels may require hearing protection.
