Summary of Role: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible to: 1. Build quotations and comprehensive proposals to customers based on technical and product information, in order to support the achievement of the aggressive sales goals of EMEA/APAC business division. 2. Plan, monitor and supervise all facets of connection to the grid of PV plants within the SunPower System installation process for a particular project, maintaining liaison with design, construction, administration, finance, procurement, Supply-Chain teams and customer regarding project progress and changes. Manage potential external engineers, and sub-contractors. Works closely with internal teams to insure that projects are brought in on-schedule and on-budget, and insuring 100% customer satisfaction. You will personally manage single or multiple projects (depending on their size) on one of the following product lines: 1. Ground Mounted Power Plants 2. Commercial Rooftops 3. OffGrid installations Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Focus on Proposals: • Serves as central contact point on assigned proposals, and leads multi-discipline or cross-functional teams. Works closely with Design, Procurement, Construction, Supply Chain to fully calculate project costing, manufacturing lead times and deliveries. • Plans, manages, coordinates, prepares and submits promptly efficient proposals for multiple business opportunities in response to customer solicitations, through the support of Sales. • Identifies and communicates risks associated with the Proposal pursuit. • Analyzes customer solicitations and develop internal response plans and schedules for meeting customer proposal/information requirements. Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrix schedules, timelines and other documentation associated with proposal development. • Establishes quotations and proposals (budgetary and binding), with the support of all concerned Departments. • Provides post-submission support including finalist presentations, Best and Final Offer requests, clarification requests, and contract negotiation. Focus on Projects in execution: • Responsible for fulfilling company quality goals and insuring 100% customer satisfaction on assigned projects. • Manages the system design and construction process for all assigned projects. • Plans and Monitors all activities related to the project, producing reports of progress on regular base to management (schedule, cost, revenue, margin, satisfaction...), from Proposal till project finale punch-list closure • Is corporate representative to the Customer, permitting agencies, and other project personnel • Leverages knowledge of system delivery milestones to capture reduced construction costs wherever possible. • Identifies opportunities for and initiates change orders, as required. • Performs risk-analysis / forecasting for assigned projects in order to minimize negative impact on company • Confirms compliancy of sub-contracts negotiations towards project targets/contract • Supervises work of one or more assigned Construction Managers on a per project basis, and responsible for effective oversight of multiple subcontractors and temporary leased installation labor. • Ultimately responsible for compliance, safety, and performance on all assigned projects. • Responsible for overseeing document management for assigned projects. • Organizes transfer to O&M team for assigned projects Common activities: • Manages and Coordinates proposals and projects reviews/debriefs. Manages and Coordinates the activities of internal and team member personnel, facilitates the communication flow between departments, and challenges outputs (Costs, Lead Times, Construction Schedule, etc...) in the interest of the proposals / projects. • Provides significant inputs into, and coordinates the updating and project management through Proposal and Project softwares (i.e. CRM and ERP) • Assists in following and enhancing group procedures, guidelines and standards for Proposals and Projects management. Contributes to and implement ideas for improving group efficiency. • Coaches new members Minimum Requirements:
• Strong analytical skills. • Candidates must be highly organized, capable of working on multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, handling pressure and tight deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors. • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project applications. • Proficiency in English ; knowledge of other European languages is a plus. • Experience with multinational, large and complex matrix organizations is a plus. |
