Summary of Role: Job Title : Lean Manager Reports to : VP-Operations Job Grade : PA 43 - 45 Job purpose: A Lean Manager reviews a company's manufacturing activities and provides recommendations to reduce tooling cost and improve setup times, material flows and cycle times. The Manager also analyzes manufacturing data or process information, monitors surroundings or materials, makes decisions and solves complex problems. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1. Responsible for leading all facets of deploying SPS/Lean principles across all operations at the site level, including but not limited to: ? Be a change agent for site to implement SunPower Production System. ? Develops competent FE leaders within the site by conducting training sessions on SPS/Lean Manufacturing concepts. ? Be essential part of the company-wide Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) ? systematically learning, building, documenting and promoting Best Practice Sharing across the company. ? Establish, lead and conduct Kaizen events combined with the Shingijutsu Group of Sensei?s. ? Be an internal sensei to co-ordinate & conduct Kaizen workshops. 2. Work with Global FE team and external ?sensei?s? to lead improvement events both large and small (kaikaku and kaizen) 3. Develop, improve and sustain productivity improvements using Lean manufacturing disciplines such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Single Piece Flow, Pull Production, Takt Time Production, JIT, Level Loading and Jidoka ? at the process and site levels. 4. Work collaboratively with Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics, Administrative and Functional Leaders to identify areas of waste elimination and productivity improvement. 5. Work both with SunPower internal organizations as well as key strategic suppliers across the value chain in their Lean deployment efforts 6. Lead the deployment and improvement of problem solving skills (DL & IDL) based on Lean principles (SGA, PDCA, A3 thinking, Golf Scoring, etc.) 7. Demonstrate P&L, B/S and Customer impacts of all Functional Excellence improvements. Job Requirements: 1. A Bachelor?s degree preferred (Engineering or Business), or 10+ years of hands on experience in the operational discipline. 2. 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience leading and transforming organizations using Lean principles. 3. Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills. 4. Ability to work in a team environment with a highly collaborative approach. 5. Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines 6. Deep knowledge and understanding manufacturing and operations processes, tools and systems. 7. Extensive experience working in multiple, diverse geographies/cultures. 8.
