Summary of Role: We are seeking an individual who will be a senior member of SunPower's successful Project Finance Group ("PFG") which executes financing strategies for the acquisition of SunPower solar energy systems, or its output, by our customers. This position entails interaction with the SunPower sales team and their clients to develop and explain financing strategies best-suited to the objectives and circumstances of the client, taking into account market conditions. The candidate will work with customers to develop financing structures, including Power Purchase Agreements ("PPAs"), leases, joint ventures and debt arrangements that are utilized in the solar energy finance market. We work in a team environment with self-motivation being an important driver of results. Strong analytical and communication skills are required for this position. The candidate will understand and work with relevant economic, tax, accounting and regulatory concepts in multiple international jurisdictions. Prior experience with related contractual matters and analytical tools (project finance model spreadsheets, lease pricing, etc) is expected as well as familiarity with the leading finance providers in this industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working in a team environment, the PFG Director will:
• Lead residential, commercial, and utility scale project financings and asset sales,
• Interact with the SunPower regions sales team and clients to understand objectives and recognize challenges to be addressed in designing the project financing plan,
• Lead a team to perform the necessary financial analysis to develop the appropriate financing strategy for a given situation; financial analysis will include working with excel spreadsheets and other modeling tools,
• Display a command of excel-based project finance models,
• Work with finance providers, including lenders and equity sources, to understand investment strengths and limitations,
• Participate in the effective solicitation of financing proposals from marketplace and insure a fair and comprehensive bidding process,
• Perform analysis of proposals received and highlight areas of concern,
• Participate, often as the leader, in the negotiation and successful execution of the financial documentation arrangements,
• Communicate transaction processes, status and plans to multiple stakeholders in a variety of formats including in writing, through verbal presentations and with powerpoint.
• Drive a strong process and control environment working in conjunction with Regional Executives, SunPower Corporate, Total Corporate and the Board of Directors' Finance committee.

Minimum Requirements: A degree in finance, accounting, engineering or other relevant field is required. Knowledge of project finance, commercial and consumer credit, equipment finance or renewable energy is a plus.
Preferred Requirements: A deep understanding of the following is expected:
• Strong math and computer skills
• Experience performing financial modeling and an understanding of financial concepts (ROI, IRR, NPV, APR, IRR)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Communication comfort, both verbal and written
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must demonstrate the skills necessary to be a strong contributor to the Project Finance Group and support SunPower business units to understand and creatively structure and execute successful solar energy project financings. This effort will require building and maintaining internal and external partnership relations. Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are required.
Work-skill samples will be required as part of the candidate appraisal and review process.
This position is based in Paris, France and requires up to 50% travel.
