Summary of Role: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for complying and monitoring Company safety and quality goals on assigned projects
  • Responsible for insuring 100% customer satisfaction on assigned projects
  • Responsible for managing the planning, design and construction process for all assigned projects
  • Responsible for managing budget and schedule goals of assigned projects, from project inception through project closeout
  • Responsible for the managing the opportunity risk review from RFP through contract execution
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing opportunity sales proposals including estimates, schedules, and qualifications prior to customer release
  • Identify key construction and design components through on site audits with design and sales teams
  • Performs regular risk-analysis and cost forecasting and reporting for assigned projects
  • Manage key deliverables from design, procurement and construction
  • Leverages knowledge of system delivery milestones to capture reduced construction costs wherever possible
  • Acquire initial budget, scope and schedule sign off/buy-in from design and procurement
  • Coordinates resource availability and operational needs to ensure achievement of established project goals
  • Develop key deliverables from design, procurement, and construction kick off meeting
  • Monitor final budget, contract review, schedule, and signature acquisition process for all assigned projects
  • Manage schedule and cost lifecycle of assigned projects through project closeout
  • Conduct client Kick-off meeting
  • Manage in-house and subcontracted design teams
  • Creates, oversees and tracks all schedule aspects for assigned projects, from pre-approval through project close-out to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Identifies opportunities for and initiates customer change orders, as required
  • Responsible for overseeing document management and administration for assigned projects
  • Directs work of one or more assigned Construction Managers on a per project basis
  • Responsible for effective oversight of multiple subcontractors and temporary leased installation labor
  • Negotiates and manages subcontracts and subcontractor change management
  • Serves as the primary corporate representative to the customer, permitting agencies, and other project personnel
  • May evaluate the performance of more junior projects personnel to provide accurate feedback on the level of performance within the department
Minimum Requirements: Minimum requirements -
A minimum of 4 years of design/build project management experience is required

Preferred Requirements:
  • 4 -Year Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Additional experience with electrical systems and wiring is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical, supervisory, and project management skills based on construction industry experience
  • Strong familiarity with construction and electrical codes
  • Proven ability to successfully procure, monitor, and assess subcontracted construction functions such as electrical contractors and commercial roofers
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
  • Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project is required*LI-TJ
