In an industry that is reshaping the world's energy future, there's no better place to be than SunPower. Summary of Role: - Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
- Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future.
- Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
Minimum Requirements: - Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Industrial), Statistics, Mathematics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
- Knowledge of forecasting software related to demand planning, preferably Demantra.
- Strong skill set with Excel, PowerPoint and database application software. Project management experience for cross-functional efforts.
- Experience with DRP/MRP functionality preferably Oracle/Demantra
- Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.
- Demonstrated team player, able to work across levels & organizational boundaries.
- Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory.
- This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Good facilitation skills are required
- Good communication skills, attention to details, extreme accuracy
- Night shift adaptability
