Summary of Role: SunPower is rapidly expanding its international presence, and is seeking a versatile Manager of Project Economics to support its Utility, Power Plant and Commercial group?s pricing strategy and expansion into emerging solar markets in Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Duties & Responsibilities ? Perform shadow modeling of power plant and rooftop system owner economics to guide SunPower?s component and EPC pricing on large commercial bids and tenders ? Provide economic/financial analysis to support in-country pricing strategies and investment decisions ? Develop end customer and channel economic models in current and potential future markets, incorporating country-specific solar PV incentives and regulations ? Perform ongoing screening, evaluation, analysis and prioritization of up-and-coming solar markets worldwide ? Partner with in-country Business Development leads to create market entry business plans -- describing SunPower market entry method, channel/business model, execution model, product solution, value proposition, one-time and ongoing investment required, resource plan and overall financial business case ? Create presentations, business cases and pro forma financial models supporting SunPower?s market entry business plans ? Assist in presenting business plans and financial models to senior management ? Support the commercial sales teams with tools to enhance the selling of the SunPower value proposition Location ? This position is based in Geneva, Switzerland ? 10-15% travel required to target countries and to US or European SunPower offices Minimum Requirements: Skills and Qualifications ? Fluent in English and 1-2 other European or Asian language(s) ? Strong financial analysis and modeling skills. Deep understanding and comfort with IRR, NPV and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) calculations ? Highly detail-oriented, yet capable of summarizing key points and drivers for a management audience ? Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly, in both oral and written form, across cultural boundaries ? Energetic, can-do attitude ? Superior Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Example of prior work product may be requested. ? Strong desire to advance the adoption of renewable energies in the global energy mix ? Legally able to work in Switzerland and/or European Union Preferred Requirements: Education and Experience: ? University degree in finance or economics. MBA degree a plus. ? 6+ years of business experience, preferably in strategic planning, management consulting or financial analysis ? Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and translating key levers into selling messages ? Demonstrated new market evaluation and market entry business plan / go-to-market strategy development ? preferably within a leading multinational corporation ? Demonstrated track record of responsibility and project ?ownership. ? Capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously ? Energy industry experience a plus but not required *LI-JE |
