Summary of Role: Product Manager Europe What We Do The solar electric industry is an exciting and rapidly growing business, providing excellent career opportunities and the great satisfaction of having a positive impact on the environment. For more information on SunPower please visit the SunPower website at www.sunpowercorp.com. Summary We are looking for a Product Manager based in one of our larger offices in Europe. In this role, he will lead the launch and lifecycle of Ground Mount products in Europe. He will contribute to the development, implementation and growth of the product line by adopting a differentiating strategy for SunPower?s products. Key Responsibilities ? Be the central focal point for SunPower EU Products, roadmap and new product planning ? Work closely with US based product management team being the single point of contact for EU ? Work closely with Europe based Marketing Manager to identify product opportunities for European markets. ? Develop and implement EU product launch plan with cross-functional team ? Develop and manage differentiating product requirement document for successive generations of products for EU market ? Screen European regulations and norms for making sure that all product comply ? Work with EU Marketing team to develop intimate knowledge of EU PV market and be recognized as the European product expert. ? Screen new potential products for marketability and drive product/design issues to positive resolution ? Track, analyze and present EU product line results to management ? Travel to customer, vendor to understand requirements, gather feedback and information, and internal company sites to coordinate products? evolution and launch plans ? Represent Sunpower at public events (e.g. trade shows, speaking opportunities) as a subject-matter expert. Related Experience and Educational Requirements Minimum Requirements ? University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or economics ? Minimum 5 years experience in product management required. ? A proven ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of clients and partners ? Willing to travel up to 40% ? Fluency in English is required Preferred Requirements ? Graduate degree a plus but not required ? MBA or equivalent experience. ? Demonstrate ability to work and coordinate cross functional teams ? Strong oral and written presentation skills ? Displaying a can do attitude ? Leadership skills, and strong analytical skills ?
