Basic Qualifications: High school diploma/equivalent and 8 years advanced secretarial, clerical, and administrative experience
Minimum Qualifications: • Must be a US or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain BGCAPP site access • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment • Have thorough and extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures • Proficiency in preparation of slide presentations using PowerPoint or comparable software applications • Ability to maintain highly confidential nature of EDT Management • Tact, above average communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers • Ability to convey a positive and professional image • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines • Be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills

Washington Demilitarization Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of URS is seeking an EDT Administrative Assistant for the Bluegrass Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction EDT project located in Richmond, KY. Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen.
Typical Responsibilities include:
• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. • May be required to work overtime or varying hours. • Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. • Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. • Responsible for providing complex administrative support to EDT Management. • Work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and presentation materials. • Anticipate and prepare materials needed by EDT Management for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc. and inform EDT Management on matters to be considered. • Read publications, regulations, and directives and take action or refer those that are important to EDT Management and staff as appropriate. • Prepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc. under general direction. • Advise secretaries/administrative assistants in subordinate offices on new procedures; request information needed from the subordinate offices for periodic or special conferences, reports, inquiries, etc. • Screen telephone calls, visitors, incoming correspondence; personally respond to requests for information concerning office procedures; determine which requests should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member or other offices, and prepare routine non-technical correspondence. • Schedule tentative appointments without prior clearance. Make arrangements for conferences and meetings and assemble established background materials as directed. May attend meetings and record and report on the proceedings. • Review outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with EDT procedures; assure that proper clearances have been obtained when needed. • Collect information from the files or staff for routine inquiries on office programs or periodic reports, and refer non-routine requests to the responsible individual(s).
