Job Summary

Our Environmental Technician provides support to our In-Plant Services programs. This support includes participating in event projects, chemical handling, lab pack duties, data entry, drum movements within the plant, drum bulking, drum crushing, and assisting when extra personnel are needed. The position may also include operating light equipment, heavy equipment and trucks on a part time basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The position maintains environmental and safety compliance. The Environmental Technicians assist with site inspections to ensure project adherence with the federal regulations such as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and OSHA, ensuring waste types are properly segregated, regulatory shipment windows are met, proper container labeling is adhered to, good housekeeping is maintained and accurate tracking logs are kept.


Our Environmental Technicians operate equipment including forklifts, drum crushers and compactors and perform labor-intensive activities such as drum collection, drum bulking, loading of trucks, pushing, pulling, dragging, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.


Our Environmental Technicians are dependable individuals who have a good attendance history and report to work on time everyday. The ability to deal with frequent changes in the work environment is an important aspect of this role.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age or older


  • You must be legally eligible to work in the United States


  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.


  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen and background check.


    A. Education and Experience

    Preferred qualifications for the position include:


  • Training in RCRA, TSCA, OSHA, DOT


  • 40 Hour Hazwoper training
